Here we are and there we were...

Tomorrow is our last full day of living in Idaho. There are alot of things that i will miss, but im excited to see what life brings our way! The trailer arrives tonight and friday we will leave for Utah. I'm at that point were i am nervous, excited, scared, and overwhelmed all at once.
Jersie is excited to go to Grandma K's house ( my mom) and see Missy Pup, and Jude, well hes just chilling like always and im sure doesnt care either way.
our live has been alittle rough with two incomes, then one (flopping between the two of us) and now i am so thankful that Jeremy has a job that is able to allow me to stay home and be with Jersie and Jude. When Jersie was a few months old i went back to work and for awhile it made me sad for awhile but i know that if i had to work i would. I love being able to be with my kids.

On to the news: A new for Jersie is that she is starting to speak clear enough that more people can understand her. Im so happy that her second tube surgery is working.
for Jude, Hes a roller! he doesnt like to do it alot but he can. lol.
for Jeremy, He got a new truck on Valentines day and is loving it. lol.
and me... well, umm, I have some how found energy lately to pack alot of boxes while staying sane with the kids. lol

this is probably the last blog before we move so the next time i write we will be Utahans!

Jersie's Birth Story

Since I just did Jude's I figured I might as well do Jersie's even though she's almost 2 and a half.

My Pregnancy with Jersie was something new. I had no idea what to look for or what anything was suppose to feel like. I was sick for what felt like the first 5 months. I remember the first time i felt her kick and thinking OMG, this is real. there's a baby inside me.

My Due date was August 13th. Which was funny cause Jeremy's Birthday is the 12th.

Well, the night of the 12th ( Jeremy's Birthday) I felt like I had the worst case of the flu ever. Jeremy was at work so Julia (Jeremy's mom) and Jake, took me to the hospital.

the got the hooked and and had me on an IV to keep me hydrated. around 11pm the nurse came in and told me that she talked to Dr. Isbell and he said that at Midnight they were going to start me on Pitocin since i was scheduled to be induced the next day anyway. so we called my mom and let her know.  so midnight came and we got started. they gave me a sleeping pill and told me to rest. i woke up around 7 when they came in to break my water ,that was an experience all on its own. and when my mom and William arrived. now it was the waiting game. nurses kept coming in and checking to see how dilated I was and to check if i was doing okay. I remember one nurse coming in looking alittle freaked out that i was just calming sitting there talking to everyone and she said " You really cant feel that??" i told her "no" which then she gave me this look that made me scared what was to come so i chickened out and got an epidural. which didnt make a difference since i wasnt feeling my contractions anyway but eased my mind. around 10pm that night i was ready to go and waiting on the Dr. at 10:20pm we started the pushing and 15 minutes later she was here. 10:35pm Jersie Skye was born. weighing 7 lbs 14 oz and 21.5 inches. I was in tears. I couldnt believe that i was now a mom. Jeremy had the biggest grin ive ever seen on his face. She was in my arms and i couldnt stop staring at her and thinking how blessed i was to have this sweet baby. I was finally able to feed her about 45 minutes after she was born.

 2 minutes old.

first time holding her

Now she is almost 2 and a half. She weighs 26 lbs and is 39 inches tall.
I love being a mom. now that i have two kids i feel like im complete. Jersie and Jude are already best of friends. they have so much love for each other.

Jude's Birth Story.

I can't Believe I didn't do this sooner.

My pregnancy with Jude was rough. I had UTI's and Kidney infections and felt sick ALOT. When we found out that we were having a boy I thought to myself ive always wanted 2 kids and now i have the "perfect" family ( a boy and a girl). Have a boy was exciting for all sides of the family. The Barry's, this means that the Barry name lives on since it would of stopped at Jeremy. The Bowen's (Julia) and Hale's first grandbaby boy.

I was told about a month early that i would be having a C-section. My original due date was September 24th. they kept telling me that he was "BIG". so they first moved the date to the 17th. then told me that the big day was going to be the 13th. I was excited that both my kids would have birthdays on the 13th.

The night of the 12th i could not sleep. i was so nervous. around 4am i decided that it was no use to try to sleep anymore so i got up and showered got the rest of my bag packed and by 5:15am Jeremy and I left for the hospital (EIRMC). My mom stayed with Jersie and would come around 8am after Jude was here so that Jersie could sleep alittle longer and not be grumpy.
At 5:30am we checked in and signed the legal papers. i got hooked up to IV's and moniters plus they put leg wraps on so that after the c-section they would help to circulate the blood flow to my legs. at 6am the nurse that would be my OR nurse (her name was Nancy) came in and explained alittle what was going to happen. she also asked if it would be okay if a few Med. students stand in on my csection. I said sure that was fine. she then told me to rest. she said that around 7am the anesthesiologist would come in and talk to me. so for a hour Jeremy and I just waited and relaxed. 7:30am came and Nurse Nancy came in and handed Jeremy his OR jumpsuit and told him that she was going to take me and that he needed to get put on his outfit and that another nurse would come and get him when i am ready to go. they had me walk to the OR and every step i took i felt like i wasnt going to make it. i started to shake alittle. when i got to the OR the anesthesiologist did a spinal (which was cake work. i only felt the first poke) very quickly i became numb from my collar bones down. they put all these little sensors all over me and swabbed my tummy and got me all ready. the anesthesiologist told me that if i promise not to try and help that he wouldnt strap down my arms...as if i could move them..lol. around 7:40am Dr. Isbell entered the OR whistling. He asked were Dad was and a nurse then told me that he was feeling to sick to come in and that my mom was on her way. Isbell got ready and then said " Lets have this baby so i can go hunting" ( at the last visit Jeremy and Isbell talked about how it has to be the 13th cause his hunt starts the 14th in Arizona.)
the anesthesiologist looked at me and said " looks like its just you and me" so things got started.
I felt pressure and tugging. I felt like i was being sat on by an elephant which the anesthesiologist said was normal... i heard the Med students talking about how they are going to do their hair and decided to block them out. the anesthesiologist then let me know that i was going to feel a lot of pressure in 3...2...1... i look over at my nurse who's feet are off the ground and then the only med student who hadnt talked at all started smiling. I thought HES HERE HES HERE!! the curtain was lowered so that i could see him and then i heard his little cries. sometime while stitching me up Jeremy came in and was able to hold Jude. He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 18.5 inches long. born at 8:07am.
I was wheeled into the recovery room and a few people were able to come in. Julia, Jeremy, and my mom. i got to hold him for the first time. of course i cried. hes perfect. I also got to feed him about one hour after he was born. when i got wheeled into my room there were alot more people there. JD, Janet and Wayne, Brielle and Jakob and Jersie.

Jersie was so excited to see him. she's such good big sister.
It's now 4 months later and We couldn't love him more. he now weighs 14 lbs 13 oz and is 25 in. He LOVES Jersie. everytime she talks he looks around for her and smiles when he finds her. shes good at getting him to laugh. Jersie says " I LOVE Jude."
I'm so happy that he is here. its been hard have a newborn and a crazy 2 year old but theres been plenty of fun!

The News...

Jersie is getting big and its so fun watching her learn. She is my Jersie girl Princess. She got a Leapster 2 from Santa and she likes this game where you have to put a shapes into the correct outlining of the shape to make a big picture and she does awesome. Over Christmas she also decided that she loves to take pictures. she wouldn't put my moms (ma K) camera down. In the White Elephant game at the Ashcraft family party we got a camera so she now has her own. She is also starting to talk alot more. She has such a fun personality and she is so funny. some of the things she says makes me laugh and laugh examples: on Thanksgiving i asked her what a turkeys says she comes up with " ahh, dont eat me." she told Jeremy once to " get out my house." cause they were play arguing lol. oh and today at dinner she was being a slug about eating her sandwich so Jeremy took a bite to see if it would get her to eat it and she said " spilt it out...( giving him a death look). lol. I'm so excited to see what else she can come up with.

I feel like Jude was only little for a day. I look at him know and think..wow, look at my big boy. He is my little buddy. He is now able to lift his head up and look around for alittle bit while on his tummy. He loves to smile and giggle. He loves Jersie so much. once he can hear her he is constantly looking for her until he can see her.. which makes him smile. Jeremy calls him Mr. Smiley...which..makes him smile. lol. He is also getting good at reaching for things and trying to get them in his mouth. a fun thing that jersie likes to do is sing and dance for him which makes him kick his feet and smile. I love being able to see both of them grow and not missing a moment with them.

Jeremy was super sweet and this year for christmas i got a bracelet and a gift certificate to the black swan Inn (which we will be using this month =) ). Makes me feel special to get gifts that we can use together. we also got gift certificates for the movies and to a couple dinner spots so that we can have date nights or family outtings. yay! Lately, ive been kinda grumby. Ive been stressed out and need to find away to do everything in one day.
I am so looking forward to moving to Utah. a washer and dryer in the same building where i can do laundry daily without having to either take both kids down the stairs to the laundry building or waiting for Jeremy to get home and hoping that everyone else isnt doing theirs. I also am excited to be able to see my family more. dont get me wrong i love Jeremys family but my stress and depression levels go way down with my mom around. I would also like to have some of my old friends back ( you know who you are..) lol.
Next up on our list is Jude's blessing. im exicted to have him blessed and share the experience with everyone.

Its been awhile!

Since last post...

Yellowstone was a blast! Jersie loved the Buffalo!!

Halloween was fun this year! Jersie was an ice cream cone and Jude was just his cute self!

Next up is Christmas, we are totally looking forward to it! Jersie got to call Santa and she said for a book. lol.
everyone is doing fantastic!
I know I haven't written alot this time but alot of it is in pictures. coming up this week is one of the family Christmas dinners (Barry side) I'm hoping to get some pictures for it. I also hope to blog more!

The News This Week.

So, this week has been a rollercoaster. Jersie got into my shaving razors and shaved her fingers, deep enough that stitches should of been but since there wasnt skin to attach they couldnt do them.  I'm so glad that she wasnt screaming and freaking out cause I was on the inside. She just came to me and said " look mom" while blood was everywhere.

Today, She has figured out that she is now tall enough to turn on and off the lights. she had to show me in my room and in hers and again in the living room over and over  she is so excited that she can do it! lol.

The new with Jude is that his umbilical cord finally fell off yesterday and he is now able to have a real bath! yay! if he is anything like Jersie, he will love it. Jersie must of been a fish in another life cause she can spend all day in the bath.

There hasnt been alot of new stuff lately. Ive been trying to figure out how to have 2 kids and both of them happy (so far so good) and Jeremy has been working alot. Jeremy also went hunting last sunday for his antelope but didnt bring anything home. so he will be going again.

We are going to Yellowstone on Sunday so hopefully i will find sometime and get some pictures up!

He's here!

We are so happy that he is finally here! He is perfect! looks so much like Jeremy! Jersie is a good helper. She is happy that he is home now but alittle confused on where is fits in now. we give her tons of attention and love but i guess it will take time. This morning Jersie walked quietly into our room and looked into the crib to make sure that Jude was okay. I love how much love i can see between them already!
I am totally in love with my little family!
